Springsteel Resort reports “Now that September is here the bait fishing has taken over again. The water on Lake of the Woods has gotten cold and the walleye have moved back into the bay. Fishermen are picking up walleye with spinner and or jigs in all the same spots you would fish in early June. It seems the bite has been more specific to mornings and evenings but should continue to get better later into the month.
The temps look steady the next couple weeks so the fishing should be good for the fall fishermen. Good luck fishing.”
