The public is invited to attend Yellow Rose Community Day at the brand-NEW Hampton Inn on Friday, August 13 starting at 3PM. There will be a series of events showcasing some new downtown development projects, a pasta bar fundraising meal, and traveling up from the Twin Cities is the FAB TAP, bringing joy on wheels in a custom airstream travel trailer!
This open-house format allows for folks to come and enjoy food, drinks and hear about some exciting future development projects. Warroad Real Estate, LLC will reveal the downtown Main Avenue streetscape designed by JLG Architects. See how the bank of four aged buildings will be transformed, retaining the historic architecture, with a modern twist. And there will be more!
From 5-7PM Chef Richard Morris, from Doug’s Catering will serve up a pasta bar – a perfect “pre-race” meal for those running in the 5K/10K Yellow Rose Race on Saturday morning.
This is a fundraiser meal with proceeds going to the Warroad Area Community Fund. Suggested donation is $10 per plate. Recently, the WACF awarded $87,500 to local non-profits and public entities that benefit kids and families in the Warroad Area. The local advisory committee will be on hand to share more about the fund and how this fund benefits the local area.
The Hampton Inn Warroad is offering a special Yellow Rose weekend rate, with a special gift and some sweet treats to enjoy. Don’t delay, make your reservations today by calling 218.386.4900, and press #1 to find out more!
We invite attendees to then head to Allison Park for the Allison Park Summer Series presented by Warroad Community Partners. The Lubben Brothers will perform at 7PM on the amphitheater stage. This handclapping, foot-stomping folk band is traveling all the way from Florida, and triplet brothers Joshua, Thomas, and Michael are excited to return to Warroad again this year. The entertainment is funded in part through a grant from Northwest Minnesota Arts Council. To cap off the night, Lake Country Chevrolet will be sponsoring a family-friendly movie showing of Raya and the Last Dragon.
And don’t forget to register for the 18 th Annual Yellow Rose 5K/10K Race! The race begins and ends at Allison Park on Saturday, August 14 th and there is a virtual race option as well! Details can be found at www.yellowroserace.com.
