Springsteel Resort Ice Fishing Report

Springsteel Resort reports “February was very cold for a couple weeks and it really slowed down the fishing. The temperature has come back up and now we are starting to see the fishing pick up a bit. With warmer weather in the forecast we hope that the fishing continues to get better.

We are still fishing the Buffalo Point and Whiskey flats area from 25 to 28 ft catching a mix of walleye, sauger and pike.

The days are getting longer now and we are starting to see a morning and evening bite closer to the sandbars and reefs.

March always brings in tip-up fishing and the big pike have been active already with multiple over 40″ this last weekend.

We’re hoping for a good March with nice weather and good fishing.

Good luck and be safe!”
