Lake of the Woods Fishing Report Courtesy of True North Guide Service.
“This week I spent some time around Zippel Bay, Morris Point, 12 Mile, and Whiskey Flats. At Zippel Bay we found fish right out front in 16 to 25 feet drifting with spinners and minnows. Hammered gold was best. At Morris Point we mostly jigged. We found fish anywhere from 23 to 35 feet around structure or in the mud. Orange/gold was out-producing the other colors. Pulling cranks around 12 Mile was on fire. Lots of nice fish being caught in the mud off the south and west side. Whiskey Flats is still holding lots of fish anywhere from 23 to 27 feet. Right tight to the Canada line was best, and the break was also good producing several limits of fish.”
