THINGS TO DO
indoors
You don’t have to be just an outdoors enthusiast to have fun in Warroad. There is plenty to do inside as well. Enjoy shopping in our quaint downtown where you’ll find fashion, unique arts and crafts, and plenty of supplies to do your own crafting such as for quilting and scrapbooking. Schedule a spa day and immerse yourself in relaxation. Take in an evening of family entertainment with a production of the Warroad Summer Theatre.
For your next stop, visit the Library and Heritage Center for a historical look at our area. View our rich Native, fishing, fur and lumber history. Kids will love the birch bark wigwam and the attached public library with its own children’s section, summer activities program and life jackets available for checkout. See a polar bear and an impressive display of mounted wildlife at The Woods right in Warroad!
Visit the new Wm. S. Marvin Training and Visitor Center to learn the history of Marvin Windows and Doors and experience “hands on” the window manufacturing process. If you love cars, be sure to schedule a visit at the Shed – the largest, privately-owned collection of classic and muscle cars in northern Minnesota. Any time of day you can try your luck at the Seven Clans Casino right on Lake of the Woods.
If you’re looking for some physical activity, head over to the Warroad High School and take advantage of the indoor pool, weight room and exercise equipment.
Hockey, of course, is good any time of year. Take in a game, or just visit the Gardens Arena for a complete look at the history of hockey in Warroad. With several Olympic Hockey players and Gold Medal winners having their beginnings right here in Warroad, the Gardens is truly a “Hall of Fame.” Open skating times are available at all of the arenas.
