Hockey tournaments, practices, and camps are scheduled throughout the year, making Warroad an ideal place to spend time improving your game. Hockey, of course, is good any time of year. Take in a game, or just visit the Gardens Arena for a complete look at the history of hockey in Warroad. With several Olympic Hockey players and Gold Medal winners having their beginnings right here in Warroad, the Gardens is truly a “Hall of Fame.” Open skating times are available at all of the arenas.

Lake of the Woods Brewing Company offers a Hockeytown Old Style Root Beer making it the perfect way to celebrate a game well played in Hockeytown USA. Don’t forget to pick up a can or a six pack before heading back home to share with friends, family, or teammates as you retell the story of your time on the ice in the original Hockeytown USA. 10% of all root beer sales support youth hockey locally.
Check the Arena schedule for open skate times. During these allocated times, you are welcome to get in some practice with team members or practice on your own. See the area camps, training and other events happening throughout the year.
Warroad has one of the most comprehensive youth hockey programs in Minnesota. True to tradition, many children begin skating as soon as they can walk. The best part for parents – kids play hockey for free, which means no association or ice rental fees.
