Riverbend Skate Path
The Warroad River has been alive with activity this winter thanks to the efforts of a few dedicated community members. At over 5 miles long, Riverbend Skate Path recently opened & connects to Doc’s Harbor Inn’s public skating outdoor rink as well as a number of private outdoor rinks.
If you don’t know how to skate don’t let that stop you from coming to Warroad to enjoy this free outdoor adventure with your family & friends. The path also features a cross-country ski path and snowmobile trail on either side or you can walk, run, snowshoe, or if you can find a willing partner, get pulled on a sled!
There is a free public parking lot (highlighted in red below) as well as other parking spaces and street parking available.
Need skates, skis, or snowshoes? Doc’s Harbor Inn offers rentals & is a great access point.
If you already have skates, you can access the path on the docks by Lake of the Woods Coffee Company or Lake of the Woods Brewing Company Minnesota.
Our hotels have COVID19 measures in place & are welcoming guests. Click here to view lodging options in Warroad.
If you enjoy this new asset and would like to see it continue, a Riverbend Skate Path Maintenance Fund has been established through Warroad Community Partners. Funds will be allocated to equipment and fuel to maintain the path and additional aspects like lighting along the trail.
