In a Facebook post on Saturday, Dec. 14, 2024 the path wrote: "Who’s ready for the 2024/2025 Riverbend Skatepath!? The crew checked ice this morning and started work plowing this years path!! Couple of things: last weekend snow resulted in slush which in turn resulted in some rough ice. Still able to skate as we witnessed kids skating today after the first pass. However it’ll be a week or so before we can get it smoothed out. As always thank you to all of our generous donors and sponsors that keep this path going!! Especially Ironhide Equipment. Without them this path wouldn’t exist."
