Arnesen’s Rocky Point Fishing Report

Arnesen's Rocky Point

Here’s the latest Lake of the Woods ice fishing report from Captain Ed Albrecht at Arnesen’s Rocky Point on beautiful Lake of the Woods.

“The last few days have been producing a lot of nice eater fish in the 12 to 15 inch range, although the bite hasn’t been very aggressive. On the bobbers, I’ve seen a plain hook with a split shot 6-8 inches higher producing the most fish. Place the dead stick 1-3 inches off the bottom.

For jigs, the smaller tackle is working better (Red Flyer or glow Buck Shot). I haven’t seen the more aggressive Chubby Darter or Rapalas doing quite as well. Mixed in with eaters, we have been seeing some nice slot fish and big northers. My houses are anywhere from 26-32 feet of water. Good luck!”

If you are looking to get away for a weekend of ice fishing or just to relax, Warroad hotels are open and ready to welcome you with a clean room and COVID-19 measures.
