The outdoor swimming pool offers a sandy bottom and beach style edges providing a great alternative for lake swimming. Shower areas and changing rooms are provided and a lifeguard is on duty. The outdoor pool is open June – August, 12-6pm, weather permitting. Cost: $3 per person.

Allison Park features a playground, covered picnic areas, a gazebo, a grand gazebo, an amphitheater, a pavilion that has its own set of tables and chairs and a mini kitchen, splash pad, and a hill (sledding for the winter and a fun place to sit to watch events at the amphitheater). The area’s 63,000 acres of primitive forest contains much of the original animal and plant life native to the area. It is a reliable location for viewing great gray owls and a number of other bird species; the best birding spot is the northernmost three miles of Hwy 310.
