Wild Remedies: Balm of Gilead

Spring is in the air! Time to get moving! The trees are waking from the slumber too!
Come learn about and make two wild spring remedies to soothe your tired bones, clear your stuffy head, and more!
This class will be covering;
• How to Identify Balsam Poplar (Balm of Gilead, bam-ba-gilead)
• Possibly foraging poplar buds (depending on season)
• Discussing medicinal uses
• Making an herbal salve and tincture to take home
Things to bring:
• Yourself!
• Notebook and pencil
• Disposable gloves for foraging, or glove you don’t mind getting sticky, or a will to scrub your hands vigorously (hand sanitizer gets the resin off)
• A foraging knife or scissor
• Baggie or container for gathering
• Appropriate clothing for weather
