Lake of the Woods Fishing Report | August 2019

This week, True North Guide Service focused their fishing report on the west end of the Lake of the Woods.

“Fishing has been consistent with good numbers of fish being caught on Whiskey Flats in 23 to 26 feet of water pulling spinners with minnows or crawlers. Fishing the south and west side of 12 Mile has also been producing good eaters and a few photo fish in 26 to 28 feet of water off the edges and in the mud. Fishing around Arnesen’s Reef was also producing fish out in the mud 28 to 32 feet with spinners and minnows or crank baits. Some of the best fishing we had this week was on the South Shore in 20 to 22 feet of water pulling spinners with minnows or crankbaits around Swift Ditch. Orange/yellow, hammered gold and fire tiger colors were best. Good luck and enjoy the upcoming long weekend!”
