Warroad is open for business and excited to welcome visitors this summer! While MnDOT works on important infrastructure upgrades, here’s what you need to know to plan a smooth trip:
1. Bridge ReconstructionvHwy 11
No passenger vehicle detours – The bridge is reduced to one lane but passable all season
Commercial vehicles – Truck routes may follow temporary detours; check 511MN.org
Plan for minor delays – Allow extra time during peak hours
2. Roundabout Installation (Near Dairy Queen)
What to expect: Lane shifts and reduced speeds—follow posted signage
3. Local Businesses Are Open & We Events Are Happening!
Construction won’t disrupt access to Warroad’s shops, restaurants, attractions, or events:
Dining: Coffee shops, casual eats, and ice cream remain easily accessible
Shopping: Boutiques, outdoor gear stores, and souvenir spots welcome visitors
Outdoor Activities: Fishing, parks, and trails are unaffected
