Scoops Ice Cream Parlour

Scoops ice cream warroad, mn

Get ready to step back in time when you visit Scoops Ice Cream Parlors retro-inspired ice cream shop in Warroad.

Reminiscent of the classic ice cream parlors of yesteryear, their shop is a throwback to childhood memories featuring 20 flavors of hard scoop and 3 flavors of soft serve ice cream!

Their Story

The idea for Scoops was conceived in the summer of 2023 on a 4,500-mile cross country road trip in their 15-passenger van.

“As is our custom, we had stopped at a local ice cream shop for some delicious hard scoop ice cream on our way down the Oregon coast. This stirred up an idea:

“What if we opened an ice cream shop in Warroad?”
Once the question was posed, a continuous brainstorm ensued, and the final days spent on the road were filled with conversation about how we could make it happen.”

Fast forward and the dream of Scoops Ice Cream Parlor is now a reality in Warroad!

Northborn Music Festival 2024

NORTHBORN DAYS 2023

As summer approaches the anticipation for the Northborn Music Festival begins to build.

Nestled in the heart of Allison Park, a place dedicated to the memory of Allison Marvin and the spirit of all the children of the north country, this annual event has become an annaul tradition. Since its dedication in 2019, Allison Park has served as a vibrant community hub, and the Northborn Music Festival is its crowning celebration.

A Day of Talent and Tunes

The festivities kick off at 10 AM with the highly anticipated 10th Annual Northborn Talent Competition, formerly known as Warroad Sings. This vocal talent competition showcases the incredible voices of singers from northwest Minnesota.

Throughout the day, festival-goers can enjoy a variety of activities and performances. Local vendors offer an array of delicious food and unique crafts, creating a vibrant marketplace atmosphere.

As the day progresses, the excitement continues with an afternoon performance by The Wicked Bees, a reggae/ska infused horn rock band formed in Fargo/Moorhead. Their new EP “People Change” captures the band’s most exciting original music recorded, produced, and mastered with some of the best of the Minneapolis music scene.

Next up, Post Traumatic Funk Syndrome. This 12-piece band is sure to have you dancing and singing along to all your favorite hits throughout the afternoon!

At 6:15 PM welcome to the stage American Idol contestant, Blake Proehl. He isn’t your everyday singer-songwriter — he worked his whole life to achieve his dream of making it to the NFL, ultimately joining the Minnesota Vikings as a wide receiver. After a devastating injury during his rookie season, though, his life in football came to a screeching halt. During the recovery period and unexpected downtime, he encountered another surprise: falling in love with music.

The evening ends with Wicked Garden taking the stage at 8:00 PM. Get ready for your favorite grunge hits of the 90s! Wicked Garden started out in 2010 specializing in the five most influential grunge bands of all time, Nirvana, Pearl Jam, Alice In Chains, Soundgarden, and Stone Temple Pilots. After amassing over three hours of set list hits from these five chart topping bands, they rearranged some members and the newly revamped band decided to expand the set list to include several other artists from the 90′s Grunge Era, as well as Grunge influenced artists that are chart topping today, such as Tool, Foo Fighters, Queens of The Stone Age, etc.
